I applied for an internship at a large entertainment company (Data adjacent postion not really a tech company) in late November and did not hear back until I got an interview in late March. The interview went really well, in my opinion It was like a conversation than a formal Q and A, there was strong back and forth, and I felt confident in my answers. It has now been about 17 days since the interview and I have not heard anything back. I sent a follow up email shortly after the interview and the recruiter responded quickly at the time, but there has been no update since. But I haven't emailed them about a follow-up yet. Is it normal for the process to take this long after an interview? Should I expect a response eventually, or is it more likely that I am getting ghosted? For context this position runs from June-August so I feel like I should hear back pretty soon.
