Im in Texas, Im hearing from a lot of people that both the Finance side of things and Tech side of things are experiencing huge lay offs , and are more saturated and more competitive than ever (especially here in Texas) . And that I could just end up getting replaced by someone cheaper over seas remotely, which many of my friends have been replaced even in other industries. Obviously anything that can be done remotely runs the risk of being off shored, and so its safer to just go down the traditional banking route for my graduates degree, rather than tech route for that reason, but this is what im more interested in. So - Is it more competitive than ever and will be "replaced by AI" anyway , and if not just get offshored, so its better to go down the banking route (where you still need an in person handshake deal). Or are the "Fears Uncertainty Doubt" just being over stated and with a Fin degree + MSIS I should easily find employment (with skills, projects, and experience ofc) please let me know thanks!
