Something doesn't add up and i'm trying to understand. I keep hearing from my friends who work in tech startups saying their orgs are being told to cut the tech workforce. Also, keep reading posts and comments from people in startups and mid-size companies about hiring freezes, restructuring, etc. But I saw this on Twitter: "Engineering job openings are at the highest levels we've seen in over 3 years. There are over 67,000 eng openings at tech companies globally right now, with 26,000 just in the U.S." So which one is reality?
