I'm a proposal strategist for my consulting firm, so I often pursue contracts (RFP/RFQs) for both existing and non existing clients. I do about 70-100% of the work on our proposals depending on the RFP/Q criteria. My firm just won a big contract, for a project I discovered, because: 1. I, with some help from one other person, submitted a killer proposal the Offerer liked. They offered us an interview. 2. The project manager impressed the Offerer at the interview and awarded our form the contract. I played no part in the interview. My question is: I'd love to have a celebratory lunch on the company's dime, but how do I ask for that without sounding greedy or petty? EDIT: I work remote, in a different state from the company. I have no colleagues near me. For context, I am paid hourly and recently got a $3/hr raise. I do not receive a percentage of the earnings from projects I bring in, nor do I receive bonuses. I'm also part time and don't have benefits (my choice. I don't want FT work).
