A senior manager told me off the record that within the next four months, the company’s top priority is to offshore or eliminate the majority of data science roles, Salesforce admin and developer positions, and even some cybersecurity roles. They mentioned that companies like FAANG planned this years ago, and the layoffs happening now are because their systems are already in place. Our company is going all in, and over the next 12 months, the organization will become much leaner—not everyone will survive. So I’ve got about four months before things start to fall apart. I want to make a switch, but I’m not sure what direction to go in. Definitely feel like am going to get laid off. Any advice?
