During a 4 hour onsite interview with back to back interviews, how do you stay sane? What are your tricks? I can barely think and talk continuously after 2 hours. This level of intensity is very uncommon in day to day job as a dev. I’m exhausted after 2 hours of talking and intense problem solving. How do you manage a 4+ hour onsite that has back to back interviews? Do you purposefully set alarms to ask for breaks? Because you’ll stay on one zoom call and different interviewers will just jump in so it might be more important to stick to your own schedule. What are your favorite ways to take micro breaks? Have multiple onsites coming up, feeling nervous about not being able to stay mentally sharp for 4 hours! I also don’t want to give a bad impression if it’s time to ask the interviewer questions but I’d rather just lie down and close my eyes for three minutes. Should I just set my own alarms for every 55 minutes so I can take 5 min breaks?
