I had an onsite interview where the highest ranking person barely made any eye contact with me for the entire 45 minutes. He talked about himself, the company, his spouse and was willing to answer questions. But he was focused on his laptop the whole time. I suppose checking emails or something. He didn’t say. Like he was just there to check off that he interviewed the person who came in. And the hiring manager shook my hand and said they had another meeting to attend and will try to circle back later. The only questions hiring manager wanted to know was how self sufficient I am. Like how do I deal with situations when no one is around. Are these red flags?
