I applied for the Engineer I - Modeling and Simulation position at BAE Systems on July 14. Then a recruiter contacted me the following week. The call was on July 24 and I went straight to the interview. The interviewers in the virtual interview on July 29 told me the next steps without me asking. They said they would fly me for an onsite interview if I make it to the next round. Then today, July 30, in the morning, I wrote a thank you email to the recruiter since I don’t have the emails of the interviewers. Then on the afternoon, the status on the application portal changed to not selected. I thought the interviewers mentioning the next steps without me asking them was a good sign. What the heck are they looking for?!
