I’m a 3rd-year IT engineering student, and I spent more than 4 months engaging in Accenture’s program—solving quizzes, watching courses, and gaining XP for the Go for Gold initiative, all in hopes of getting selected for an internship. I cleared every round—cognitive and behavioral assessments, technical interviews, and coding tests. My interview went exceptionally well—the interviewers seemed impressed, kept asking me more questions, and I answered everything confidently. Yet, I still received a rejection letter. Confused, I reached out to someone working at Accenture. What they told me was shocking: - Accenture prefers average candidates who will stay 5-6+ years without switching. - They avoid top performers who might seek better opportunities. - Their system is designed to retain employees who won’t question too much. -The person I spoke to wants to quit but feels trapped, and they haven’t even completed 2 years at the company yet. It feels like they trap people into working under their rigid structure. If you’re actually skilled and ambitious, you might not be what they want. Has anyone else faced this?
