Someone I see now and then in my weekly/monthly doings told me that their family member was going to apply for a job. I knew the applicant from a distance, but not well at all. We chatted at a community function and later I heard they were training for the position, but I didn't have knowledge of them professionally, or in much pertaining to the job. Later, I got a call from the boss who was considering hiring this person. They asked what I thought about this person's fit for the job, and I really didn't know, and said so. Actually someone in my world knew this person, so I said so, and said that from what I understood, the applicant is a really good, solid person who is involved in community events that pertain to the job, and that's about all I could say, and the the interviewing person sounded disappointed. I believe I was in the right .... input?
