Had a video interview recently. Everything was going well technically. Then the recruiter paused and asked me if I was "getting help from something on the side." Why? Because I was looking away from the screen and apparently typing something. The truth? I was taking handwritten notes on a piece of paper that wasn't visible on camera. But this is where we are in 2026: * You take notes → you're cheating * You answer quickly → must be ChatGPT * You structure your thoughts well → suspicious AI has made everyone so paranoid that taking notes looks like fraud. Lesson learned: next time I'm putting my notepad right in front of the camera. Has anyone else experienced this kind of suspicion during interviews?
