Rescheduling interview day of due to illness

Hey all looking for some advice as I'm pretty sure I just screwed over my chances for this position. This morning I woke up with a pretty bad flu. I felt a bit off last night and after a bunch of different meds and remedies I woke up feeling even worse today. I have a second round interview scheduled for 2 PM EST today and figured since I can't even turn on a light without having a blinding migraine I needed to reschedule. I called the recruiter who I spoke with during the first interview at 9:30 AM stating my concerns and asking for a reschedule. I apologized profusely and explained that I am still very interesting in the position however there is just little to no way I could present the best version of myself by 2 PM today especially since this interview would be technical. When I had asked to reschedule she replied with "And you're really asking the day of to reschedule?" and "I guess I will follow up with the team". I'm just going to assume that based on her tone when I asked that I am out of the running for this position. My question to y'all is what I did really that frowned upon and what would you guys do in my position? It was a virtual interview but considering I was disassociating on the way to the doctors this morning, I seriously doubt that I could answer any technical questions that was going to be given. As of now, I had replied to the email chain expressing my concerns and asking for a reschedule along with calling the recruiter. I have no intention of attending today given that after I post this I will probably be taking medicine and resting all day.
