I had a recruiter reached out for a job i applied to a few weeks ago on a friday, but i was about to go out of town for two weeks so i scheduled that call two weeks out. I knew that was a long time for a recruiter screen and I was thinking there was no chance since no one wants to drag out the process but I did my best anyway. She said there would be two more rounds after this call. Towards the end, I was told that I would hear back early Monday or even later that same Friday. I asked about the timeline and the recruiter said "if they could hire someone tomorrow they would". I heard back and was invited to the second round later that day. So I took the Monday morning slot. Second round was Monday morning and it's now Friday past 5pm. I don't think it takes 4 days to decide if they want to move someone to a final round, especially when they said they want to move fast. I'm going to follow up Monday (to probably get a rejection in the response) but what do you think?
