Update: GREAT NEWS! I just got off the phone with the recruiter - she called to give me an update heading into the weekend because she didn’t want to leave me hanging. She let me know they’re working on my offer and will hopefully have it to me on Monday! I’m thrilled and so excited. Can’t wait to see what it comes in at! Back in February, I applied for a role I'm slightly over-qualified for at a company I've wanted to get in with for a long time. The recruiter reached out at the beginning of March and scheduled me for a video interview with the hiring manager for the following week. That went well and the hiring manager mentioned that next steps would be to narrow it down to two candidates, and invite them to come in to interview with her boss and a panel of the managers this role would be supporting. The recruiter reached out at the end of that week & invited me for final-round interviews. I booked for that following week (mid-March) and the interviews all seemed to go quite well. I've been waiting ever since. I emailed the recruiter on Friday last week to see if she might have any update into the timeline I could expect to hear back, and she responded to me on Monday saying that they hope to have an update on the position by the end of this week. It's mid-day Friday now and I've been losing my mind for two weeks. I really want this job, as it would offer a lot more stability than my current position, and as I mentioned, it's a company I have been trying to get in with for some time. At this point I'm starting to worry that they're keeping me on ice as they negotiate with the other candidate in case things don't work out. I know that hiring can move slowly, but the wait here has been pretty long. If I don't hear today, would it be unreasonable to reach back out to the recruiter on Monday or Tuesday to see if there are any updates? Or would that be too much?
