I consider myself a pro interviewee. I’ve had a ton of experience over the last 6 years and have tripled my salary due to job hopping. I’m not ashamed. However, I had an interview scheduled today for 11:30am, which is when I was planning to take my lunch. I had an alarm set. I had my notes ready to go. I had a few meetings at work but most of them were set to wrap up before 11. WRONG I kept my eye on the clock all morning until all of the sudden, it’s 11:38 and I’m getting a phone call. Shit. My last meeting ran over and I didn’t notice. My alarm didn’t go off. This is my first time ever missing an interview. I apologized profusely to the recruiter, who said the HM had already dropped off the meeting. I’m hoping to hell they understand and reschedule, but I’m not super hopeful considering she gave up after 8 minutes. Ugh.
