People on my project got laid off and are now gone....lol no handoff, no explanation because we already know what happened, and now I'm just absorb their work. My 1:1 with my manager recently moved randomly and I was thinking about it all day. I felt relief but also felt stupid when it wasn't anything important. I guess being on visa and having a wife who's a dependent adds to the stress. I just bought a house and I just feel like my whole life in the US is on the line with this job. My sleep has been so messed up, I have headaches, and even when I try to relax during the weekends I catch myself overthinking something small that happened at work. Before anyone says switch companies. Switch to where? feels like this isn’t just Oracle, it’s everywhere. Haven't really looked into options like moving to Canada, I wonder what their visa process is like and whether work there is better than it is here.
