My first BPO final interview experience was discouraging ( ALORICA)
Interview Experience
Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my recent experience applying at Alorica for a call center position. I passed the phone interview and assessments, and I was honestly excited (and nervous) to attend my very first face-to-face final interview. But when I got there… it felt really discouraging. The interviewers barely looked at me. They were scrolling on their phones while I was answering their questions. I tried to stay composed and do my best, but the lack of eye contact and professionalism made me even more anxious and lose my train of thought. It felt like I wasn't being taken seriously. I’m not here to rant, I just really expected a bit more respect especially for someone who's new to the BPO industry and just trying to grow. I understand they might be tired or busy, but a little courtesy goes a long way. We applicants put in effort, dress up, show up early, and hope for guidance. Not sure if this is common, or if I just had bad luck with my panel. Anyone else had the same experience? TLDR: First ever BPO final interview, interviewers were on their phones the whole time, and it threw me off. Disappointed and kinda discouraged.
