Informal Conversation Request
Interview Experience
I applied for an internal associate director role and interviewed for the role about 3 weeks ago. Since then I’ve had a second interview that went well. But also since then the vp left her role and now our senior vp is the main leader over the department. That svp knows nothing about the role or work and kind of put a little pause as he wants to think about how the role I applied for fits into the larger plan for the org. Today I get an invite from hiring manager titled ‘informal conversation: ad. I asked someone what it meant and he said that I should consider it a good thing. Then I get another invite moving the informal convo meeting to Monday instead of Thursday. What the heck is an informal conversation? How do I prepare? What could they want to talk to me about? I’m an internal candidate and the recruiter is not an option for this question. Please help!
