Odd

HR recruiter reached out to me asking if interested in a role. I said sure. Over period of 6 months I SPOKE to different directors. Then one had me talk with one of their architects. I spoke with her, and had a good conversation but found her knowledge (and questions) to be lacking some depth. I brushed it off thinking the deeper technical interviews would happen later. 4 days later I get the "we decided to go with someone else" but oddly it also said do not apply for a similar position for 1 year. Someone told me this is how META fills other h1b roles by doing "filler" interviews. They also said I probably dodged a bullet with that group. Is this typical at META?
