Just lost a 27 LPA offer at the final round… and it definitely hurts. But this entire journey is something I’ll remember for a long time. On April month, I started the Juspay hiring process without expecting how intense or transformative it would be. Step by step, round by round, I kept pushing forward and somehow reached their final onsite technical interview. Here’s how the journey went. Round 1: Coding Round The process began with 3 coding problems based on arrays, trees, and graphs. A tough opening, but clearing it gave me the confidence to move ahead. Round 2: MCQ Round A speed test 30 MCQs in 30 minutes. CS fundamentals, maths, physics, logic… a mix of everything designed to test quick recall and reasoning. Round 3: Hackathon – Part A Next was a system design problem that had to be solved using tree concepts. This was the first time the interview shifted from pure coding to architectural thinking. Round 4: Elimination Round A very focused discussion: - Resume-based questions - A medium-level DSA problem - A deep dive into time & space complexity, especially logs and detailed calculations By the end of this round, I felt like I had already learned a lot more than I expected and the interviewer was a very nice person. Round 5: Hackathon – Part B (6–7 hour round) This was the turning point of the journey. A mentor was assigned, and the entire task revolved around optimizing my Hackathon Part A solution for multithreading and thread safety. Hours of refining, questioning, breaking, and rebuilding the design — until finally the interviewer was satisfied. Easily one of the most intense technical experiences I’ve ever had. Round 6: Final Technical Round (Onsite – Bengaluru) Juspay arranged everything flights, hotel, and stay which made me feel valued even before the interview began. The final round included: - A detailed discussion on my resume - DBMS + SQL queries - A system design problem implemented live Things were going fine until new constraints were added. That’s where I got stuck, and couldn’t fully reach the expected solution. And that’s where the journey came to an end. So, Losing a huge opportunity at the very end is painful. But when I look back, I’m more grateful than disappointed. Sometimes you don’t get the offer, but you walk out with a version of yourself that’s far stronger than the one that started. Uhm a request to all of you, If anyone is able to help with a referral, I would truly be grateful. It’s been challenging to get shortlisted through regular applications, I apply to 20–30 roles every day, but it’s still difficult for my resume to make it through. I'm 2025 graduate. I sincerely believe that if I get the chance to interview, I can prove my skills. So if you could help by referring me or guiding me toward an opportunity, I would deeply appreciate your support. Thank you so much.
