I had a presentation to a panel for an interview a few days ago. Prior to the presentation, I was provided with a brief by HR outlining the direction of the presentation, along with several key points I was expected to cover. After my presentation, one interviewer started to critise my approach and critiqued details like how I structured the agenda and how I should have numbered them, almost wanting to go through how each slide should have been done. Another interviewer stepped in to clarify that I had followed the brief provided. It seemed the first interviewer wasn’t aware of the brief, and his approach made me feel uncomfortable, although the rest of the panel were pleasant. Is this a red flag?
