Hi everyone, I hope you're doing well! I’d like to share my interview experience for the Apprenticeship role at Fidelity Investments. My name is Ajith Kumar Reddy, and I recently completed my B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Vel Tech, Chennai. I applied off-campus for this role through Naukri portal. The entire selection process, from the initial assessment to the final confirmation, took about 40 to 50 days.

Round 1 Online Assessment (60-80 mins) : About a week after applying, I received an exam invitation from the Fidelity admin team. The assessment included sections on English grammar, aptitude, and core computer science concepts such as OOPs, data structures and algorithms, computer networks, Python. After the MCQs, there was a coding question mainly based on arrays and strings, followed by an algorithm writing section, where you had to write the logic in your own words. The round was moderately difficult and manageable if your basics are strong.

Round 2 Telephonic Interview (~10 mins): One week after the assessment, I got a call from a Fidelity team member. They informed me that I had cleared the online test, collected some basic personal details, and explained the next steps in the process. They mentioned that I would receive an email for the technical round in the next couple of weeks.

Round 3 Technical Interview (30-45 mins): The technical round was conducted via Zoom. The interviewer started with a brief introduction and asked me to introduce myself. He went through my resume, asking detailed questions about my final year project, internships, and technical skills. I was also asked a coding question related to strings, which I explained confidently. The session was very friendly and interactive, and I felt comfortable throughout.

Round 4 HR Interview (15-20 mins): Right after clearing the technical round, I was informed that my HR round would be conducted on the next day. The HR was very welcoming. He began by introducing himself and talking about Fidelity’s work culture, company initiatives, and the apprenticeship role. He asked me questions about my education, projects, internships, and overall academic journey. Towards the end, I was given an opportunity to ask questions, and I inquired about the apprenticeship program. He responded kindly and finally congratulated me, saying, "Welcome to Fidelity!" Overall Experience & Tips: The whole process was smooth and well-organized, and all the interviewers were very friendly. I’d recommend future aspirants to focus on their basics in CS fundamentals, practice string/array-based coding problems, and prepare well for project and resume-based questions. Most importantly, stay confident and be honest with your responses.
