Genpact visited our college for hiring during the month of August 2023, It had visited our college after 10 years so we had 0 clue of how and what process they would conduct. They were offering the role of Technical Associate with a package of 4.7lpa. Its hiring started with a briefing about the company where some experts from the company briefed us about the company, work culture, and the overall hiring process. Soon after the briefing, there were 3 rounds: Online Test Group Discussion Technical and HR interview round Online Test After 2 days of the briefing, a test link was sent to us which consisted of questions from various sections like Programming language, Basic DSA questions like a linked list, tree, graph, etc., Computer networking, OS, DBMS, Gen-AI, etc. After the test results were declared, out of 480 students only 180 students were able to qualify for the
next round which was the GD round. Group Discussion This was held a week or so after the online test, here they had divided the students into groups and each group was allotted a different time for a smooth process. Initially, for a few groups, the topics were the same but later after I think group 4 the topics were changed and each group now had a different topic, once you entered the meeting they briefed about the session and gave a topic and 2min time to think and analyze the topic. A total of 10 students were there in my group, and we were given hardly 8 minutes to speak. I got the topic "Social media is a boon or curse?". After the GD round was over, out of 180 students only 63 were able to clear the round. Technical /HR Interview My interview was held the day after the results were declared, I was a bit nervous as well as it was the first interview I was attending. However, once the interview started I felt eased with the interviewer as she was very welcoming and very calm while trying her best to make the interview in a friendly manner. The questions I was asked were: Introduce yourself Give a brief about the projects you have mentioned I was asked 3-4 questions each from each project specially from my ML projects like which model i used and why i used , how did i calculate the accuracy , What is the difference between between types of the metrics used. etc Lastly she asked me to explain a part of the code . My interview was of around 20-25min Important tip: For any interview make sure you are very much thorough with your resume , mine was completely resume based basically i was asked mainly on my projects. I have friends who were asked some DSA questions like Linkedlist , array , string etc. . Some were ever asked to run the code . So it was all resume based. Out of 63 students 23 got selected and I was one of them :) All the Best.
