I recently interviewed for a Principal Product Manager position at Oracle's GenAI division, and I'm sharing my interview experience for reference. I'd also like to ask about career development at Oracle. I'm a Canadian citizen. I applied online without a referral. The first round was a phone interview with HR about project experience, clarifying the salary range (IC4 typically offers 150K-160K plus equity). The second round was with the hiring manager, discussing technical agent skills and rag-and-gun projects in more detail. The third round was with a content designer on the team, a more casual discussion focused on behavioral aspects and communication. The fourth round was a group interview, as the technical round involved in-depth discussions on administrative design. The fifth round was with the department head, a very nice person who discussed department history, career planning, the future of GenAI, and some pitfalls. After going through all these interviews, I admire those who manage to interview with multiple large companies simultaneously; it must be quite tiring. I'd like to discuss with everyone: Do you think there are many internal development opportunities at Oracle? How long does it usually take to switch roles? Is it easy to obtain permanent residency?
